I believe that a therapeutic relationship can be a sacred space for you to identify, feel and express big emotions. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work and have been in the field for 10 years. I am passionate about helping the people I support in cultivating their authentic-self, which has often times been covered up by trauma, stress, life changes, etc. I strive to guide my clients on the difficult path to self-healing through the use of reflection, awareness building, and gentle pushing out of your comfort zone. My vision in creating Simply Healing Psychotherapy was to have a space for people to seek help in a non-judgmental (and maybe even fun at times) place. I specialize in treating adults who suffer from PTSD and other forms of trauma and abuse, anxiety, and addiction.

Whether you are celebrating victories or navigating through difficult moments you deserve to have someone in your corner empowering you along the way! I believe therapy can provide you with an outlet and a support system to accompany you on that journey to ensure success and growth. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples. I approach each individual or each set of individuals without judgment and work to make each person feel accepted, validated and understood. My approach to therapy is tailored to each client to best address their needs. I emphasize self-advocacy in an effort to increase esteem and efficacy in each client. I believe in treating the whole person and not just the presenting issue.

Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path. As a therapist, I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship, empathy, and encouragement create the "perfect storm" for positive change. My role in this process is to provide a safe space to motivate and encourage you to increase self-awareness, self-acceptance, and healthy and effective thoughts and behaviors.
I believe that an eclectic approach is most effective in treating mental health and substance abuse disorders. My goal is to use an individualized approach to meet each person where they are in their personal growth journey and support them in discovering and achieving the change they most want to see.
Together we can discover your personal themes and patterns and work to develop new, healthier patterns. This process often times brings about difficult-to-tolerate emotions, but we will work together each step of the way to challenge those thoughts and emotions, and replace them with self-compassion, acceptance, and gentleness.

As a therapist. I operate from the belief that no individual is beyond help or unable to make changes that can contribute to a more healthy and happy lifestyle. My therapeutic approach is one that is active-directive. I work closely with my clients to assist them in accomplishing goals THEY want to achieve! I believe it is important to acknowledge and accept that we, as humans, are all at different stages of readiness and willingness to make changes in our lives — and that no one individual is “right” or “wrong.” We are all on this journey together! I believe in self-empowerment — the idea that it is best to look inside ourselves to find control and understanding when people, places, or things around us become chaotic. I primarily utilize Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) with my clients. This type of therapy is similar to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but dives a little bit deeper and allows individuals to gain insight and recognize the unhealthy beliefs they may have about themselves, others, and the world around them. I believe, by modifying these unhelpful thoughts, we can acknowledge that we are largely in control of our own happiness.
